1. What have you accomplished since your last report? (For the first report, you will briefly describe your activities for the previous week).
Developed web pages and camtasia bits fast and furiously. The web pages are a facet of what I like to do best and learning this new software and more and more of its capabilities. I have to say doing this degree at the same time I am actively using these skills at work has been a HUGE benefit. I use the EDTC assignments as a means to learn, explore and develop ideas and web pages and then have the opportunity to use and teach some of those same skills to others. As I'm learning more about camtasia, I'm thinking about training it and how the transportation, building and grounds and health services will be able implement the videos into their training materials. This scenario is also one where I wish I had the opportunity to work with a team and do more of a true instructional design development to be sure I know and use all the pieces we've talked about in EDTC.
The web pages I've done are the development and implementation page for the 6332 proposal and well as the camtasia recording for the Paint Shop Pro tutorials. I've also worked on the web pages for 6329. My project for that class is e-Portfolio development strategies.
2. What are your short-term objectives and plans for achieving those objectives for the next two weeks?
Doesn't sound very positive, but my short term objective at this point is to get done. This year at work has been much more intense and then trying to finish up the two EDTC classes I'm taking has me real close to burn out. Pleased with what I've learned, used and developed, tired from all the work and stress.
I plan on finishing up the last couple of web pages I need to do and proof them. I also plan on getting the camtasia's tried out by some teachers and secretaries that might eventually need to use the program too.
3. What have you learned since you submitted your previous synopsis?
Except for learning how to do callouts and use another software program for screen captures (called Snag It) the learning at this point has slowed tremendously. Maybe I've learned how much I really like being about to see the end in sight:)
